The Mason Dual Overdrive can cover all of your sonic needs. Whether you are playing worship sets, classic rock, or shoe-gaze, these two dynamic circuits in one conveniently sized enclosure ensures the Mason is your solution for almost any sound you have in your head.

Tone purists will say tube amps have the best feel under your fingers, dynamic response with pick attack and use of the guitar’s volume knob, and give you some of the best authentic drive tones. For this reason, we have decided to produce our interpretation of the classic Supro amp-in-a-box with some upgraded functions and tasteful tonal shifts to offer more usable sounds. With the standard volume, gain, and tone settings, we have added a three-way gain stage. Down is the cleanest sound that carves some lower end for clear and articulate first-stage gain territory. Up is the second stage of clipping that can range anywhere from overdrive to light distortion and more open feel. The middle is all-out cranked amp sounds that can border on fuzz tones when the volume and gain are maxed out. Think of the up position as the blue option of the Superbolt and middle as the red option, just with more drive and tone sweep.

The boost in the Mason is the secret weapon of this pedal. In the down position of the toggle, it is a full-frequency boost that has been tastefully tailored to bring some high mids and top grit and sparkle to give your guitar that special sauce. Flip the toggle up to get into treble boost territory that makes your guitar sing, cut through the mix, or and clarity and top end.

An order switch is located in the center of the knobs. The direction of the switch indicates where the overdrive circuit is placed.

When I was designing this pedal, I fell in love with the over-all sound ant it was a labor of love to build it, learn its quirks, and give it a permanent place on my board, so I decided to name it after my first born son.
